Day Press Terms of Use

Effective October 10, 2026 · Last updated October 10, 2026 · Version 1.0
The short version.

1. Purpose and definitions

These terms set out the conditions for using the mobile app Day Press (하루편집실 in Korean, ひとひ編集室 in Japanese; the "App") provided by MODUMWORKS ("we", "us"), and the rights and obligations of you and us.

By downloading and using the App, you agree to these terms.

2. These terms and changes

These terms take effect when posted on this page and in the App at Settings → Help → Terms of Use. We may change them within the limits of the law. If we do, we'll let you know on this page or in the App at least 7 days in advance (30 days for changes less favorable to you). If you don't agree with the new terms, you can stop using and delete the App.

3. The service

The App is a diary that turns the small notes of your day into a magazine, one issue a day.

4. Day Press Pro and auto-renewing subscriptions

Payments are processed by the store; we never hold your payment details.

ProductTypeLengthPriceRenewal
Day Press Pro · YearlyAuto-renewing subscription1 yearAs shown on the purchase screen and in the storeRenews automatically
Day Press Pro · LifetimeNon-consumable in-app purchaseNo expiryAs shown on the purchase screen and in the storeNone (one-time payment)
About auto-renewal.
  • Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends, and Pro continues for another year.
  • You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your store account settings after purchase (§6).
  • If a free trial or discount is offered, its terms are shown on the purchase screen and in the store. If you don't cancel during a free trial, you'll be charged the regular price when it ends.

Prices vary by country and over time. The amount you're actually charged is the one the store shows just before you pay. If a subscription price goes up, you'll be notified as the store's policy requires, and it won't renew at the higher price without your consent. Owning either product unlocks Pro.

When Pro ends, nothing is deleted — your pieces, photos, chosen filters and cloud copy all stay, and auto sync simply pauses.

5. Restoring purchases

On a new device or after reinstalling, tap Restore on the purchase screen to bring back Pro bought with the same store account. You need to be signed in with the account you bought it with. We don't keep a purchase database, so restoring follows the store's records.

6. Canceling

You cancel through the store, not the App. We can't cancel your subscription for you.

PlatformHow to cancel
iOS · iPadOSSettings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Day Press → Cancel Subscription, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
AndroidPlay Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Day Press → Cancel, or play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions

After you cancel, you won't be charged at the next renewal, and Pro stays on until the end of the period you've already paid for.

7. Refunds

Because the store processes payments, refunds are requested from the store — iOS: reportaproblem.apple.com · Android: Google Play refund request. We have no ability to cancel or refund store payments ourselves. If you believe a store refund was wrongly refused, let us know at contact@modumworks.com and we'll look into it and help. Nothing in these terms limits any refund or withdrawal rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.

8. Editor's proofread (AI)

9. Acceptable use and your content

10. Keeping your data

We don't keep your content. It exists only on your device, so if it's lost because your device is lost, broken or reset, or the App is deleted, we can't recover it. We recommend making a backup file in Settings → Backup or turning on Pro auto sync. Cloud storage availability and capacity follow Apple's or Google's terms.

11. Ads

The free version shows ads: a banner above the tab bar, and a full-screen ad when you open the writing sheet (close it and the sheet opens; if an ad can't load, the sheet opens right away). While you own Pro, no ads are shown. We're not responsible for the content of ads or for any dealings between you and advertisers. See Privacy Policy §8 for how ads relate to your data.

12. Changes to or ending the service

We may change the service, or end all or part of it for operational or technical reasons, and will let you know in advance. If the service ends, your content stays on your device and can be exported as a backup file.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for damage caused by events beyond our control (natural disasters, network outages, store or cloud service outages), for content lost because your device was lost, broken or reset or the App was deleted, or for the accuracy of AI proofreading suggestions. We remain liable for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, and any exclusion that consumer law doesn't allow won't apply.

14. Minors

The service is not directed to children under 13. If a minor buys Pro without a parent's consent, the parent can request cancellation through the store.

15. If you got the App from the App Store

These terms are between you and us, not Apple, and we — not Apple — are responsible for the App and its content. Your license is limited to using the App on Apple-branded products as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims are our responsibility. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any product liability, legal compliance or intellectual-property claims relating to the App. You represent that you're not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and aren't on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Anything not covered here is governed by Apple's Standard EULA.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply. We'll try to resolve any dispute in good faith first.
